Unhappy Choosing Camera with low consumption.

Out of curiosity, why is current consumption so critical?
Far better is it to dare mighty things, even though checkered by failure; than to take rank with those who neither enjoy much or suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

Because i am using it for 24/hrs race broadcast and not fpv , so i want the best resolution with low power consumption for the car weight .
ex: ill be using a 100mw transmitter consumption : 80ma and a camera with 50ma
all together for 24/hrs they will consume around 3500 ma all day 24/hrs . so ill get a battery 200g 4800mah and do all race with that

if the camera consume power i cant live feed 24/hrs

Like acctual cars or toy cars? That's pretty cool either way. I can see weight mattering on a toy car, but on a full scale I don't think a larger battery would be an issue (Idk though, I don't do anything like that).

Another power/weight saving possibility would be to use a 5v camera, running off a 3s lipo through a switching BEC.

Well its actual kart car, so weight matters , i got a gopro 2 3.7v i guess but i have to charge at 5v(guess) . current ma is 900 ma so will it be less with a 12v battery ?

A tiny generator could power your cam and TX no problem and would be way lighter than a battery.

It looks like it would just spin a motor for the duration to create a voltage that's enough to power a camera.

Pretty cool idea if you ask me, with a small battery back up, I'd say that that's a great option.
