    Eagle Eyes loosing telemetry

    Hello to the Eagletree team,

I have a problem and a question according the Eagle Eyes.
    First the easy question:
The micro SD is not supported on the Eagle eyes. Is there a plan for the usage and is it planned to be able to ground-record the video too? That would be really awesome! (Now I always have to take my Notebook with equipment with me to record the osd-video)

    Now my problem:
From time to time Eagle Eyes looses the telemetry, but i can see the telemetry data in the goggles working fine. Sometimes the loss is for very short time like only one beepcode, but sometimes it looses without regaining even the plane being on the ground 10 meters away. So a weak video signal can't be a reason. Then I made some tests: when I switched off and on the EagleEyes it immediately shows telemetry blinking again. The same results if I switch off and on the OSD or the video TX...

    What can be the problem?

    Thanks a lot

    Video level.

I had this problem using flytron switch that screwed video level. Basically the lost was caused by strong lights. Check your Vtx video input impedance, many are 400Ohm plus, use a parallel resistor get that down to proper 75ohm. That would the first step.

How do you measure the impedance?

With Ohmmeter between video in and grd.

    Hi Hugo,

thanks for the tip, but I Use iftrontech and there it is written, that they use 75 ohms at video input.
I do not know and I am not a electronic specialist, but in my guess, the problem is not on the Plane, but on the Ground. Why else should be telemetry received again if I turn off and on the Eagle Eyes (only)?

    Greetings
    Oliver

    Hi Satansbraten01,

We addressed a relatively rare intermittent telemetry issue with our beta software version 10.43 (and later), which can be downloaded from the support page of our website here. If the software version you are running (check under "help, about") is less than 10.43, I'd recommend giving that a try. YOu'll be prompted to update your OSD Pro and EagleEyes firmware after install.

Thanks a lot! I will have a look on the firmware versions and will respond on the results. The problem is not every day and not all the time. Last time flying I didn't have any loss of telemetry, flying at the mountains... So it may take a while to experience the results.
    Greetings
