Come on Scott, you're milking this for all it's worth. You must have been fairly mooving to crash that bad. I herd that you'll have to buy an udder wing. I could go on

Seriously, one little thing that I do when it comes to these little LM plugs is brush a bit of PlastiDip onto the connector once it's plugged in. I find it's great for keeping things solid and a bit of extra security, but if you want to remove it you can peel it off without too much bother.

Yeah I was in a bad mooo yesterday - being from Wisconsin LOL (Milking it, get it? LOL)

I need to build another GoPro box, and do the front end, cracks are 100% repaired, plus I'll use some fiberglass packing tape over the main spare when it's done.

Pooch - If I were to use the old Lawmate, which has gone far and has GREAT video, I'll epoxy the damn thing in so there will be no removing it

I'd be interested in some stickers too, where do you get them? Contact Jason?

Yepper - but I do have two left, I put them in a book because they got crumpled in my bag so I'm good, just need to get Dave from l-com to send a couple more l-com decals (I owe him for the low-loss cable!)

Funny addition to this story, when I took the motor off the prop almost FELL off, I had put it back on adn tightened it but not near as tight as when I usually do. My theory is that I hit the cow (1/2 throttle all the way in) the prop stopped and basically unscrewed itself because the motor came off at impact...

Man, sorry to hear of the crash. What did the cattle owners say specifically and how did you approach them?

What a followup to the dog pack crash as well where they got lose into your landing zone

I waved from about 50' out and they said "Go on in and get it - just close the gate when you leave..."

However, as the cow was chewing on the zeph I yelled at the farm hand guy and warned of the batteries so he chased the cows off for me.
Mama cow didn't like me and she made it pretty clear.

But then I went back for the Carbon fiber control rod, then realized the TB69 was nowhere to be found so I went back in (Owner says "Oh for heavens sake") - and it was sitting on the edge of a cow patty..

Dried cowshit is hard to get off, requires an exacto knife...

My motor mount is soaking in a bucket of water now LOL
SO Dave said he has footage of the area, I can print out an 8x10 aerial and send to them for letting me recover it.

Oh man! :-( Would love to have seen the footage. Did you try that recover trick someone previously posted? Glad it seems repairable.

No it just di dn't get written to disk and battery separated at impact (From the gopro - battery cover broke)- was pretty violent.

The nice thing about cowcrap is that it's soft, no damage to lenses...the electronics test vid I posted is post crash post clean-up
