Windoes recognize com port but ImmersionRC too doesn't

Hi folks. I'm searching in the forum and I've found issues about windows that doesn't recognize port etc.

    Mine is kind of different.

My windows does recognizes the port (com3) but when I run the ImmersionRC tool it says "NO DEVICE FOUND" I can hit REFRESH but even so it doesn't show ay port

As you can see..my windows recognizes the port..

Plug it in, then go to Device manager and ch ange it there, Windows probably stuffed it on COM7 or something.
Oops looked at your pic, it put it on com5. Change it to 3.

Hi, Scottu. Just went to Device Manager.. Selected the ImmersionRC USB to UART (COM3) and hit "Properties" > Port Settings > Advanced and then change the port form 2 to 15 and still no change

    the ImmersionRC Update/Config 1.21 doesn't recognize anything

U click on the left Chose the EzUHF:TX and then go unser the "COM port" and there is only the "no device found"

PS: The red led is on when I connece the USB cable.. (not flashing)

Even If i try to hold the button it flashes but even so the ImmersionRc tool doesn't recognize anyway

    Any suggestion?

    tks a lot Scottu

I think you need it to be on Com1-Com4, a lot of the older software was written before Windows allowed such thing as COM5, back in the day com ports only used 1,2,3,4 and shared two IRQ's.... 1 and 3 shared IRQ3, and 2 and 4 sh ared IRQ4 (History)...

So basically I ASSUME that any COM PORT written application is using an old API and looks for COm1-Com4.
    It's worked so far.
