No I left those free near the ESC. So the 14.8v goes into the PSU to output 12v and 5v? In which case I would only need to solder those loose wires and run another wire into the PSU

no the free wires at the bottom right are joined together. so you need to do 2 things:

    1) join the bottom right cables together - red to red, black to black.
    2) run a new wire from the ESC to the PSU as I have drawn.

Awesome. Thanks a heap Trappy. Ill let you know how I get on.
One last question while you're about. I don't have access to a hobby iron for the laminate. Could a regular iron do the trick or do they run too hot?

Also, your ZII build video was a great tutorial for almost everything.

thanks. if you have any more questions don't be afraid to ask, we're here to get you set up.

regarding the iron ... check with your wife / girlfriend also, find a place to test this stuff first. in theory it should work fine.

Ok, everything wired up. Couldn't actually test the video feed though as the improvised receiver I was going to use to test it with didn't seem to work properly with the digital projector. However, everything is getting the correct voltages now and it all seems happy.

Now that I look at it, I can't believe I didn't see that the PSU had 2 inputs for power, one i knew was for backup. But I didn't even register that that's where I was meant to wire the batteries to.

    Thanks again Trappy! o/
