Thread: EZ Antennen Tracking Problem

    EZ Antennen Tracking Problem

    i have two problems:

Until flying my EZTacker turns 180° in the other direction and of course i lost the signal.

Until flying the Tracker stops following the plane and only when i get back with the plane to the point the antenna stops it tracks again. Tacker shows me 8 satellites, volume OK and no packets where received, no GOOD no BAD.

Where can there be the problems?

    Thanks for help!

bad audio connection maybe. Not real sure dont have one up and running yet, Have to save up for the Duo, But that would be my guess or the GPS has gone bad.

Not sure, some type of Vtx have bad audio quality. Even the tracker is showing Good (so no Bad or High) audio level... still the Bad or Good packets count. (% wise)
So with some VTX (f.i. fox 1.3 800mw) I have Good audio level, but not stabile good packets count. (depending on how hot/cold the VTX is.)
So sometimes you start with Good packets (lets say 40 %) and after 5 minutes, the tracker detects no packets anymore (only bad packets... 0%).
Also sometimes the other way around... when starting there is very low Good packets (only 2<> 5 %) and after 10 minutes it can be rising to 50 % packet quality. I understand the audio bias frequenty (or something like that) is shifting by temperature.

With 600mw IRC 5.8 always good ( 70<>80%) Only when complete Video is gone... the tracker will turn.. So this is explainable ( and even soon to be corrected by firmware (IRC)).

If you happened to have a good ground recording (the audio can't be low quality Mp3 encoding) then one thing I used to do is hook up the ezTracker audio in to my laptop audio out, and replay the recording. You can probably tell exactly what's happening then.
