Ive also ordered the spironets for my fatsharks. Gonna be sweet for easy fpv. Just toss and fly, no groundstations. But well see how they perform IRL.

Since my spironet's arrived there have been 2 crashes, and one accidental meeting with a tree, and finally no more bended home made antenna's!!!
Do not take life too seriously; you will never get out of it alive
Yow Dutchies.
Any development in FPV antennas is great. Thanks to Alex a lot of people are able to build their own antennas and fly. Maybe they are not perfect but their will do the job.
I can build Cl/SPW with 1:1 SWR once in a while but the stability in flight is never the same.
If a well produced antenna like IRC (not made by hand) it's a small step in better antennas. This is the first production so maybe we can expect soon more.
My DIY 0.8mm SPW/CL works fine and are hard enought to survive a crash in a tree. But nothing beats an Helical or something simular.
I just received a pair of the spironet antennas from readymaderc.com. I tested them this morning. Results were better than expected. I could only get around 1.7km range on a good day with my home made cp's (admittedly these were a little beat up from my "testing"). While the spironets gave me a little over 3k without losing signal. I'm running a 400 mw 5.8 ghz bevrc TX. I'm pretty happy with the results so far.
The antennas seem really rugged and should stand up to hard "testing".
I had to get a pair and see for myself, I was pleasantly surprised to find a well thought out antenna and I think you have a winner here.

Ive also tried the antennas and im positive aswell. Went out to my usual distance at 1.3km with the antennas mounted on my fatshark googles and irc 600mW vtx and the feed was mostly crisp and clear. Won't go further until I get the UHF interference off my video though.
Any plans for a 2.4 ghz version? Would be great![]()
The SpiroNET antennas got a very good workout at the Montreal FPV meet this last weekend. Superb event, more FPVers flying weird and wonderful machines than we have seen at an event before. By the end of the weekend most of the 5.8GHz systems at the event were running the spiros. I'll leave it up to the guys who used them to comment on how they performed, but there appeared to be a large number of smiling faces :-)
Purveyors of FPV goodness
i can say mine work perfectly. no issues at all. no loss in my normal flight area. i buzzed some trees over the weekend with great results.

and for the record i love alex's and hugo's products as well. i started in fpv with bluebeams. i still use both.
