I may have to retract what I said - this was this past Friday and my Fresnnel showed up when I went too LOW....

    Hey Scotttu nice vid.

I may be relatively new to FPV but I tend to learn a lot from reading and watching others. When I see other FPV videos, I don't look at them for the purpose of the scenery but rather to learn their set-ups, styles, configs, etc...
I have a sneaky suspicion that if you were to have your ground station at a higher elevation above that river/lake, you would be able to fly close to the water (if you so desired) without that interference. When the water is mirror-like, it can bounce the RF signal and cause all sorts of unwanted out of phase signals thus disrupting your fresnel zone. But if you change your angle, I'll bet it will be much better. Check out this vid and notice the position of his ground station relative to the area he is flying. Granted the guy is an awesome pilot but that river is a flat mirror and yet he is cruising inches above it..........Well quite frankly, he's inches from just about everything.

The point is, it appears to me that by having a higher vantage point you can come closer to the earth's surface. Just a thought.

Hi drako, the thing about that video is its the gopro recording and not the fight cam that would show any interferences

    Hey airwolf,
I hear you. I realize that. I didn't show this link for the purpose of showing a clear signal but rather the position of his ground station. Nonetheless, unless this guy's using the Force, I suppose his flight cam couldn't be giving him too much interference. Or else his Zeph would be floating on that river.

Drako - Actually had the antenna up at an angle to keep me from going too low, didn't want to go beg someone with a boat to go recover my plane if I got too low...
The interference - flew below fresnel once, and too far to the right (Trees blocking signal).

Note the angle..That was from the day I shot that vid.

    Scotttu,

Got it. I see what you mean.

Yep, plane in water would've really sucked.
