One of my 5.8 skew planar's just arrived this morning and all I can say is sweeeeeeeet!
Haven't been able to test fly yet due to weather so just did a quick and dirty test. Hooked up the one skew on an ImmersionRC 600 Tx on a quad placed on the ground, up to it's armpits in weeds in the backyard at idle. Got the standard 5.8 whip on the Rx (Uno), around 20m away through 1/2 dozen solid brick/concrete walls and doors and the signal is 100% crystal clear, not a single drop out, nada. Using the 2 standard whips I can't even pick up the signal from the same location. Walked down to the letterbox 100+m away, quad still buried in the dirt and weeds, still crystal clear. Totally awesome! Build quality and looks are also spot on. This bugger is one tough antenna. Can't wait to get my 2nd one for the Rx and try out a full range test. Nice one Mongrel
