Ok, tried to fly again last night, same problem.

    1. With the motor/esc/vtx/camera/rc tx all powered I can walk 110 paces
    2. With the vtx/camera powered I can walk 120 paces
    3. I swapped out the FRSKY for the Corona (72mhz) same issue.
    4. Bought and installed the comtech rx module, no change.
    5. I have tried a few different antenna's same dropping.
    6. I just tried a new area to fly (about 40 miles west of where I usually do) and still couldn't make it past 100 paces.

I am getting ready to throw in the hat here......

edit: sorry, thereīs an SPW there.

are you conecting the antenna directly or with a jumper/pigtail?

Sorry what do you mean by jumper/pigtail? I have sma connectors for all of my connections, I don't hard wire them? I did check to make sure the center pin is in all of them and ohm tested to make sure nothing was shorting out.

Also I have tried just standard Omni antennas, but most of those are garbage

So I finally figured out what was wrong and why I couldn't figure out what the problem was...

I had 2x bad vtx's, very weird, but I plugged in a 3rd and it works just fine... WTF !

I appreciate everyones help, I do have a better vrx now And switched over to 72mhz which is nice, also lightened up my plane a little, so all was not lost!

    Again thank you guys!

Awesome! Glad to hear you worked it out. Too bad about the VTX's though. They aren't cheap. I'll bet that Tim at RMRC can help you out though. if your RMRC Vtx was bad from the beginning I'll bet Tim will replace it for you. You should ask on the RMRC forums. Tim's an awesome guy, He'll get you square.

Yup Tim is awesome and I will recommend him to everyone (I am very hard to impress).

The one I bought from Readymaderc.com was abused quite a bit, I crash a lot, push the limits. So that is probably why it isn't working very well lol. But the one I bought from BoB should have worked fine, never involved in a crash. It was very hard to diagnose the problem when there are 2 things wrong.

Thanks for all of your input again!

Glad you got things sorted. If i make it out for some weekend airtime, i'll shoot you an email.
Far better is it to dare mighty things, even though checkered by failure; than to take rank with those who neither enjoy much or suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.
