A 5.8Ghz stacked Fans antenna, aimed at 5645Mhz, very narrow band.
It is a bit ugly being a prototype, but work: 1.02:1 SWR and about 5db gain.

MonZon: Damn, Kev you are gooooood!.
R. Montiel : For sure the limiting factor is the earth curvature
Nice! Kev, it means it has a flat donut shaped radiation pattern, so it would be good for ground vehicles or omni long range.
Don't steal, the government hates competition.
It could also be used as a Tx antenna. Matched with a 12T helical, should be good for some range
I'm looking for a beta tester to do just that.

How on Earth did you splice that cable? I have tried many times and can't seem to do it.

If it is broken, fix it. if it isn't broken, I'll soon fix that.

Man I'd love to test that! Unfortunately my long range 5.8ghz plane is apart right now. Would love to try it with my AAT and 8-turnThat's going to be more like a linear omni in that it has much bigger nulls, correct? No aerobatics at range?
It is still CP but yes nulls are bigger, something tell me that the aerobatic might not be as bad as we might think, need testing so that. That's going to be more like a linear omni in that it has much bigger nulls, correct? No aerobatics at range?
