    Do all Vrx have RSSI?

    I have this Vrx http://www.rangevideo.com/index.php?...products_id=68 and I cannot for the life of me find the RSSI on it.

    Here are the values I got:

    pin 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14
    v .4v 0v 0v .4v 3.58v 2.8v 0v 3.5v 0v 9v .75v .04v 5v 5v

    Pin 15
    v 5v

    Its the same with the Vtx turned off and turned on. I figured w/ this many pins there has to be a RSSI pin!

    It may have RSSI. I have a 900MHz receiver w/ the Comtech module, and it has an RSSI range of 0v - 5v. Airborne has a 1.3GHz receiver (another brown-box special) but with a different module, and it does have RSSI, but the voltage range is much smaller - like 2v - 3v.
    Far better is it to dare mighty things, even though checkered by failure; than to take rank with those who neither enjoy much or suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

    Hmmm, I might have to look at it again. I was expecting 0v-5v and didn't see it. I will look closer for 2-3.

    I thought you were in Tailand? Are you back now?

    Arrived back yesterday afternoon. Still jet lagged and groggy as hell; was supposed to go riding today but there was no way I could take the bike out in my current condition.

    Definitely double check your voltage levels, both with the VTX on and with it off. The RSSI swing may very well not be a 0v - 5v range.
