Well, the results of my tuning make me think that I have a jacked up accelerometer calibration or something. If I hit auto-level, it rolls right pretty hard. With auto-level off, I tune some I in and it starts doing wonky things. Will continue to tune and crank it some more P gain before I start mixing in more I. My numbers are incredibly low compared to yours ~60P gains for roll/pitch. I know that has a lot to do with the SimonK, but I think I can go higher.
After calibrating the acc on a perfectly level surface... take it outside and get it in a nice stable hover, switch on the auto-level and if it rolls slightly to the right (for example) then set it back down on the same surface, and add some shims on the right side, might be as little as a 1/16" or more. I had to do this four times, and ended up with shims of varying thickness under 3 of the 4 "landing gear."
Alright, ordered this bugger kk v2 fc 1 hour after it came out on hk website, received it few days later and it was sitting on my work table since then. Tonight I decided to install it in my QAV500 quad... WOW !!!!!!!!! I cannot believe for the live of me that I've wait so long to try, it's so freakin good on this quad, I didn't touch anything in the menu, stock settings this thing just rock !!! Honestly I enjoy more flying this thing then any other fc. Of course it doesn't have altitude hold and gps stuff but man, for the money NOTHING comes even close!
Alright, I'm done lol going to hk website right away to order some more!![]()

New FW for the KK2.
CHANGES:
1: Removed: LCD contrast adjustment: Not necessary.
2: Removed: "I of PI" on/off mode: No practical use found.
3: Removed: I part of self-level: Does not work with slow reacting ACC.
4: Changed: default gains to 50/50/50 (roll/pitch/yaw) P-term, and 25, 25, 50 I-term.
5: Added: beep (short beep, 2 sec delay) when armed and throttle closed, for extra safety. Makes the KK2 a bit more noisy when armed so the user does not forget it is armed.
6: Added: longer arm/disarm beep.
7: Added: ACC trim. Use it to adjust self-level attitude, no need to recalibrate sensors. Adjust in "Self-level Settings" menu.
8: Added: factory reset.
9: Added: status messages on the "SAFE" screen. The KK2 will not arm unless it says "OK.". Error messages can only be reset by cycling the power, except for the "sensors not calibrated" message, which is reset after a successful sensor calibration. Error messages include lost RX connection.
10: Bug fix: wrong offset in flying wing mix table.
11: Changed: doubled self-level stick response. Let you have more control in self-level mode.
12: Added: CPPM (sum PPM) mode. Turned on/off in "Mode Settings" menu. Also the assignments of the CPPM channels can be changed in "CPPM Settings".
13: Added: Y4 and V-tail layout.
14: Added: shows battery voltage on the "SAFE" screen.
15: Added: lost aircraft alarm. Starts to beep (1 sec on and 4 sec off) after 30min of no activity (arm/disarm).
16: Added: LP filter on servo outputs. Adjust in "Misc. Settings". A good start value is 50.
17: Added: auto-disarm. The KK2 will disarm itself after 20 sec if throttle is at idle. For extra safety. Can be turned on/off in "Mode Settings" menu.
Download it below. You only need the "kk2.hex" file. The source is also included, with a license.
REMOVE PROPELLERS BEFORE FLASHING!!!11one0x31
(At least throw a blanket over the propellers if you are to lazy. )
Also check for correct operation before mounting the propellers.
Note that all settings is returned to default.
Have fun!
I've been flying the hell out of my KK2 board! I put this on my Hoverthings VC-450 frame since I don't use it for FPV any more. The KK2 is an awesome board, especially for the price! I don't think it would be the best choice for an FPV board, but definitely doable if set up right. I have mine set up to do flips and stunts. It does that very well. The auto level isn't very good and there is no altitude hold or anything fancy. But this thing just works. If you'd like to set up any kind of multi-rotor aircraft for just flying around LOS and having fun, this board is excellent! It's super easy to set up. No computer required! I want to get another one and set up a hex or octo copter.
Well had to try it FPV...did it for 1 complete pack this morning before going to work lol 16 min of pure fun! The original kk board always been my best choice for pure FPV fun out out many other fc I've tried but now this one tops it all and more over, it's real easy to setup! Nothing like to multiwii and cc board.

Alright... after fighting with my computer to get the Lazyzero KKboard flash tool to work I have updated both of my KK 2 boards to the newest firmware. I didn't change a thing from the stock settings and I was able to bring my quad to a hover out of ground effect in my living (first time I have been able to do that without tuning for a pack or 2).
Hi everyone!
Here is my new video with TBS discovery and kk2.0 on board. With my setup is super fast and very easy to fly, itīs so easy I tryed a "touch and go".
I hope you enjoy
