    EZOSD problem

Been testing my quad today flying FPV.

Noticed the last few times I flew that EZOSD is showing a negative value on the altitude.

Also even after the GPS acquiring messages stop I do not get any speed, altitude or direction. They show as 0. The only thing that works is the current sensor.
Strange thing also is that when these values are showing as 0 sometimes you see the timing starting. And then after a while it starts again from 0. Until I get some normal values as speed and direction and then everything works. Only my altitude will show a negative value.

Is this a firmware problem or a hookup problem.?

This has been covered a few times already. There's a bug in an earlier version of the IRC tools that doesn't set the AGL/ASL correctly. Upgrade to the latest version of the IRC tools and read the settings from the EzOSD and write them back into the EzOSD and it'll be automatically fixed.

I've been experiencing a similar issue for the last two days, not sure if it's related to firmware as the unit has been working flawlessly for months. I figured the ezuhf rx was too close to the gps so i tore it all out and tested it on the ground. Walking up and down a hill I see no altitude change. Here's when I noticed it:

No, that's simply bad GPS reception.

Thanks. I removed EzUhf rx and tested again with same results. 1.3 vtx and cloverleaf on the tail, osd/gps is up front 4 inches from nose. Your thoughts?

1.3GHz Vtx is making the GPS receiver less sensitive, see if you can get more separation between the Vtx and the GPS, 4 inches is not enough.

Vtx is mounted on tail, gps is up front 4" from the nose (approximately 2' apart) I don't think it's possible to separate them further on this plane. From what you see, definitely the vtx?

How would you know you have bad GPS reception if there is NO indication of it in the OSD.
    Except during initial start up.
If GPS reception is bad the Aquiring message should come back.

I designed the thing, so I think I have a pretty good impression of what it can and can't do.

In that case you should be fine on the Vtx. Do you have a 600 line camera on that plane perhaps? Cameras are known to cause GPS interference.
