Start simple, add FPV equipment one piece at a time with test flights between, get good equipment, and have fun! With that being said I have a new receiver and 180 degree servo stretcher I just got delivered yesterday and I need to go test them out :P.

Which Mark did you fly with? There were like 4 of us there. LOL.

Like Sentry said, quickest way is:
    1: Your 72MHz Radio
    2: Fatshark Goggles (5.8 or 2.4)
3: Video Transmitter (5.8 or 2.4 depending on the goggles receiver)
    4: Camera
5: Install in an airframe you are familiar with and have fun.

Or You could buy a Specter ARF from Alex comes with everything but goggles/monitor, a radio and rc receiver. It will take abuse like no other.
Yeah I broke it. But I have Duck tape so its ok.

Not to be the confusing person, but some people like a monitor more than goggles. Now that you have seen the monitor and goggles, you can choose which you like more. Be sure to choose a monitor offered by an FPV vendor so you don't have the Blue Screen of Death issue.

    Setup:

A minimalist setup is the easiest to get in the air. While I like the security of an OSD, it certainly isn't necessary and if you're not good with electronics, you're probably better off without it to start. Remember my Maxi Swift? It never got FPVed due to OSD troubles.

Read the newbies thread and try to understand it. Then choose a plane and video system and go fly it. Don't over analyze. It's pretty simple, actually.

If it is broken, fix it. if it isn't broken, I'll soon fix that.

    Yes you do!
    Who wouldn 't want to?

I like to get up and just enjoy the scenery, you focus so much that you lose perspective of the day's issues.
I realize regular RC does that too but you can go further with FPV and see more....

Youve been doing RC for 10 years. I say its time for a change and for some greater challenges. FPV is great for people like you, it will add a new dimension to RC again with a whole new perspective.
