yes that's the problem, rob!
I only have the 922 aviators with the wide FOV - there is no way to view the image at that kind of distance.
looks like major hacking required![]()

Rob,
Sorry but I think I am changing my mind about modified goggles all together. The problem with a Ski mask or motor goggles based video goggles is the time it takes to take the mask off.
I attach a link to a website I have found that sell V. Very expensive goggles - $18,000 would you believe, BUT the design of some of them is brilliant - a 'flip down' type. This would be the ultimate solution in my opinion.

Any thoughts on this Rob ??

To put aski goggle on top of your head
That cost you a second
Never hear about that. Lol
If you can buy the goggle from your link
You can buy 10 fpv plane s
And landing plane whit goggle s on
If you distroy a plane
You thake nextone
Till you lurn to landing whit goggle on
Lol
If anything, I think modified goggles would make it easier to go from LoS to goggles or vice versa.
You can put the goggles on, slide them up and rest them on your forehead to launch and just slide them down when you're in the air. The elastic band keeps them in place at all times.
Only FPV crash that I've had that actually broke a plane was when I couldn't get my unmodded MyVu goggles on quick enough and lost control and went into a nice death spiral. Would not have happened if I had had them modded into a ski mask.
Is it possible to think of a better solution, such as a flip-down visor thing? Sure! Is it cost-effective and worth the hassle? Apparently not if it costs $18K. :-)
There's a reason a lot of people use ski goggle mods, they work.
I don't disagree with either of the previous 2 posts, but:
@nkkromhof
trying to "slide down" ski goggles OVER a pair of spectacles one handed, whilst still controlling the plane with the other hand seems to me to be very risky. Slightest 'snag' on my spectacles, etc. and I've probably got a crash. Similarly trying one handed "slide up" a ski mask OVER a pair of spectacles on - say an approach for landing - NOT for me thankyou.
@rob
I wasn't suggesting BUYING anything from the linked website - just saying I like some of the "flip down" designs.
yes i now lol fun lol
my write is bad i now,,hard to write but it,s oke
btw
if you have to control the plane just before landing???? you fly a jet or 3D plane
my skywalker came into the wind,,,i can thake off my goggle,,,,light a smoke,,, and control rc for landing [ lol ]
hi guys
some guys order motor goggle
i can,t wait for feedback
thanks
