Was out on the Island yesterday sight seeing with the family no FPV gear with me, stopped at "Moran's beach County Park" was nice seeing the jets doing circuits for part of the time, must admit my thoughts were its a really nice place to FPV, but you must have to keep in touch with the base to know the active times etc as they cover a majority of the north end of the Island at low alts while doing touch and goes.

Dide! Give us a shout next time. Ha, Yeah, Moran's is about as close as you can get to the base without actually using their runway. And yes, a responsible hobbyist would "notify the tower."

Some days i feel responsible. Some days I feel like a pirate, though.

This was totally a pleasure trip with the family with no hobby stuff or I would have pinged one of you guys, but for sure I will have to plan another trip on my own as that coast is awesome.

Thanks, flying gets easier every year I put flights in, even with the microquad out in the driveway to make sure the Drak wouldn't have any issues. I think I'm going to try doing a little bit of racing with the mini in a bit of friendly competition with a friend over at the local field as soon as he gets back. The middle ear effect throws you for a loop when doing crazy stuff in front of the monitor, kind of like watching the old Trappy vids in front of the big screen in the living room up close.

I seem to have come across this plane as one of the best to have flown and hope to put many great flights on it for a while, flying out of the trailer definitely adds to the excitement. Just need to make a drop off landing gear for self launches, otherwise there's no lack of volunteers to hand launch it, practically floats out your hand.
