I saw the same issue with it showing it's connected even though it wasn't on a XP machine. I ran it on my Windows 7 (64) bit in Administrator mode and it worked. It's just as much Microsoft fault as Skylark. Each USB to Serial chipset requires different drivers. I had the same issues with the DJI Naza and EZOSD. When I want to configure my Naza, I have to go into the device manager, uninstall the drvice, and re-install it. If you can, try it on a different computer. The chipset is a Prolific PL2303.
