    A spike on the end which goes into the ground from the looks of it!

    Very nice, you certainly get some height out of that! I'd love to see it when it's windy outside though lol.

    Zeeflyboy, lol, yeah when it's windy it shake for shure but not so bad I wont fly over 20km/h wind though.

    Really though, reception and transmission on 5.8ghz is near useless on a plane without circular polarization. Add that and you will find reception quality is on a whole new level thanks to the multipath rejection that circular gives you. Try your tests again with circular antennas and then relocate linear antennas into the bin

    I try my CL with SPW antenna again, and you are right, it does not extend the range but the reception quality is way much better.

    i am having great range with 600mw, fatshark aviators, bluebeam antennas, and uno 5800. my next build im doing rightnow will have duo 5800, flat patch antenna on a flag pole, 600mw with stock antenna, and preditor googles, addicted to fpv

    also, has anybody tried the yagi antenna yet? any luck? it fits my mounting options pefectly.
