I tried like this with my old gps (ls20031)
The tinyIII did not detect GPS.
I also did an experiment and connected the skylark GPS only to the tinyIII and placed the GPS directly on my 1.2 vtx under my antenna. . . . still had 7 satellites while inside sooo it isn't the gps.
Any ideas??
For now I am just going to run 2 gps on board. . . ah well. . . . maybe I need to ditch my old aat and grab a skylark one![]()
Slylark,
I am still having the same issue and more??
Here is what I have done. I wired your gps to the tinyIII alone not trying to support any other devices.
I wrapped your cable around a torrid just as all of my other gps devices.
This fpv rig (ZII) has 2 gps on it now, one for my tracker and one for the TinyIII.
My tracking gps and all of my other rigs have perfectly operating gps lock between 8-10 sattelites and your gps does too. . . . . Until I go fly, then every thing goes crazy!! I can have 8-10 satellites inside my house and go to fly . . . . get gps not detected. . . UGH
Please help as I now believe it is a connection issue. . . . I have also tried with the GPS wired using the usb adapter cable with the same result.
In the video it often says gps not connected, one time it says gps not connected in the video with a satellite count of 8??
Here is the video: (ignore wobbly flying for first minute. . . I was trimming elevons on transmitter)

Just so you have a reference here is a vid of one of my other 1.2 fpv rigs. . . solid gps all the time:

To keep it simple for troubleshooting I am using 2 gps on board.
gps #1. ls20031 for my AAT (my fly dream, sorry but i got it before you were around. lol)
gps #2 only goes to the skylark tinyIII osd and it is a skylark gps. Skylark gps is only connected to tinyIII osd.
They are completely separate for each device.

Yes, that is what I am saying skylark gps is connected ONLY to tinyIII in the video!! NO, this gps part of the osd has been causing me trouble from day one.

This should not be the connector problem, it may come from GPS module.
Please try to connect your LS20031 GPS with Tiny OSD, and do a flight test.
If they can work well, we will send a new GPS to you.
