I'm using the 900mhz 800mw from HK and though I'm not surprised it sucks... My video, when a single houses is in between looks like yours with 7 houses in between. It looks like my receiver can go up to 1280 so i was thinking of buying a 1280 vtx and then upgrading the vrx later on.

Your tolerance for interference is higher than mine. Again, good flyin.

i actually crashed right before that testing out a new tx antenna. lost signal about 50 feet out and cut the throttle in the middle of the street. broke 2 props but i was able to make the "rf tour" video 5 minutes later

...but I've already got a skew planar on the rx. So far the results have been the same with a clover on both rx and tx. I've been using a clover on the tx too though, I guess I could try the stock whip on the tx and see if I get better penetration. I think I'll also try ibcrazy's inverted V. btw, I have built ibcrazy's Biquad and 4 element yagi... both rock, but being directional makes them less useful for me.

I'd still like to know what vtx you're using, if anything for a slightly smaller clover antenna!

readymaderc 1.3 800mw. i made a biquad too and gave it away . it works better than the ones my friend bought from readymaderc.com
