Ok, another week has passed. Is there any one out there who has tested those nice looking 5G8 antennas with a 200mW Foxtech/BEVRC/HK 5.8GHz system or with the ImmersionRC 600mW 5.8GHz System and can show a ground recording or tell us about the range?

I have used them with my gslink. I have very minimal stuff on the gs tracker and my recorder and aux video are on a remote link. I use 5.8. I used linear and would get lots of discoloration in the record video that was not seen in my goggles which were wired directly to my gs. After going to the cp antenna provided by circular wireless the video had no discoloration and the video was clean and I am now capable of have a remote gs on my roof and have my googles and recorder next to me.
I feel with out the cp antenna I would be shit out of luck.
Ok, finally placed the order! But still waiting on some 5.8ghz videos
I'm already happy with it! The brand is really getting a good name!
Thanks Sircana!

Well I'll be able to get you some video footage from my euro (hopefully) in a couple of weeks using a pair of sircana's 5.8ghz spw's, an imrc vTX and UNO 5800.
Hopefully someone can oblige before then however!
I can confirm the 5.8GHz antennas are worth every penny. I just measured mine and the VSWR is excellent, these should really be shipped in a velvet lined oak fineer box as they're the gold standard all other antennas should be measured by. You can't go wrong with purchasing these, if you don't physically abuse them they could well be the last antennas you'll buy.

Here is my rough ( and I mean rough ) maiden of my X8. I was setting up trims and autopilot throughout the flight so its not great, but in it, all the transmitted video is from a 600mw Immersion vtx (V2) and Circular-wireless Skew-Planar to Circular-Wireless 5.8ghz Helical
Range flight are next week, although I`m having problems with my Vtx so not sure how that`s going to go, I might have to swap to 2.4ghz and use my Circular-wireless 2.4 helical instead

In the same way you can have a full-wave, half-wave, quarter-wave dipole, is it technically possible to have a tuned SPW antenna which is also a reduced multiple of the the desired wavelength?
I fly using 900MHz and although the size of a 900MHz SPW antenna isn't an issue on one of my planes, for my new build it will be. I don't intend to fly far (say 10km tops) with my new build, so I could accommodate slightly reduced performance, for the convenience of a reduced size.
This this possible?
Ian, we're actually having the same conversation here... http://fpvlab.com/forums/showthread....-greatest-quot
And here's the thread devoted to it... http://fpvlab.com/forums/showthread....eaf-Skew-wheel
