Yeah. Even though it'd be fun and convenient to launch from, and fly over, neighborhoods or other densely populated areas I'm going to try to limit my flying to rural areas where there isn't much to run into. My skills just aren't there and these systems we're using have too many points of failure for me to feel comfortable flying around people. I don't want to end up on the news, be the cause of some new law that restricts everyone's fun, or hurt someone.

It sounds like I should glue my EZ Star wings together.

Just use a little hook under each wing half and then run a rubber band between them!

It was only my opinion from facts I read about TBS flying GC; I was not looking for followers or sympathy. I only did it to make advirtisers think twice before supporting people who argue w/authority. If TBS could do it over again, I think they would have chosen a more descrete location at GC. Lesson learned, move on.

So is your contention that once considered an authoritive figure - you are exempt from facts, truth, and err? Once in a position of authority should your will be unchallenged?

I would disagree. Fact is - the Founding Fathers of the US would disagree.

Right is right. Wrong is wrong. I don't care who you are - if the very premise of your arguement is flawed - prepare to defend your position. I don't believe in absolute power. Badge or no badge.

I believe that people in authority are put there by the voters to protect us and our heritage. I have read the reports and watched the video of GC. This is a public place for the people of all countries to use to view the GC not launching and landing planes. Nobody is exempt from the facts, truth or err and I guess your contention is that FPV was not illegal at GC? What about the law banning UMAV's? What about harrassing endangered species? If you want to make your decisions regardless of authority, you will lose almost everytime, I know that from experience.

I sincerely doubt TBS would do anything different given another chance and why would they? They did nothing wrong. The rules you claim TBS broke weren't made until after the TBS flight. So no, FPV was not illegal at the time. The authorities you say we shouldn't argue with are the only people who broke the law. Blind subjugation to authority should be left to communist countries and fascist states. Your country was founded on challenging authority. It's rather sad to see how far some have fallen.

I challenge authority regularly. Why? Because I had no choice in the matter of rules or who enforces them. If we succumb to those in authority simply because they have it we become sheep that get herded and lose our freedom and with it our free-will. If I am forced to give that up, I'll move to another country.
