    DUO5800 V3??

    Hi Sander,

Any plans to upgrade the DUO5800 with the newer, more sensitive receivers like those used in the UNO? Would it be something that can be done such as replacing a few parts on existing DUO?

    Thanks,

    -Ken

They already feature the same receiver modules, hence making the Duo5800 V2 basically on par with the Uno.

Thanks Sander! I was looking at the sensitivity. I really want to try sircana's dual vtx using 5.8's and two helicals. The DUO makes things less complicated.

Yes, why the DUO has a lower sensitivity than the UNO if they have the same module ?
(-90dbi for the UNO and only -85dbi or the DUO)

Because we have yet to update the datasheet/manual, you'll notice the datasheet/manual still references the 1st revision of the Duo5800 which uses different modules.

P.s. technically (spelling Nazi alert!) it has either 'better sensitivity' or 'higher sensitivity', the way you phrased it doesn't make sense. It is a good thing I've got my thinking head on so I understood what you meant.

You cannot. You need two UNOs for this. The DUO can't select different channels for each receiver.

Exactly, the Duo can't output two different video signals, it is designed as a diversity receiver, its video outputs are always routed to the input with the best signal. Two Unos would do the trick though, as Juan suggested.

    Duo5800 V3

    Hi guys,
i have got my duo5800 v3 yesterday. Already the first test gave me nearly the double range then with my "old" v2 Duo Reciever.

Now i am putting it on my Antenna Tracker with a 5 Turn Helical and SPW/CL.
    Great Work ImmersionRC!
    Keep it up!
