What's the hold up with Digital wireless FPV

    If you look here, http://www.averusa.com/presentation/...camera_W30.asp

It's all there, everything that's needed/ Just exchange the cheap wifi system for a long range system and your away to the races.

So which genius is going to hack one of their systems and put it on a 433mhz or 900mhz modem?

Your post is so clouded by false assumptions I'm going to suggest you read up on the required technology.

    yes lets
quintuple the lag (with nearly everyone already using laggy systems)
    quarter the range
    half the reliability

sounds like a great idea! why dont you get right on that...

Now ssassen, I've always taken you for an intelegent person but to make a statement like that, it's like saying I have not heard of this so it can't be true and therefore it's false and therefore any asumptions that are made are false too. If I'm wrong show me where I'm wrong and that's great, we all make mistales but just to say nope your wrong because your thinking is off......

BTW, I know for a "FACT", everything has been out there in digital form for some time, it's just not something that the big boys are going to let the little boys play with for a few years yet. The above example starts bringing the goal of digital video for our use much closer.

I'm merely pointing out that no matter what you do you're not getting a live video stream of sufficient fps down a 433 or 900MHz modem, simply because these max out at around 115Kbps, that's about enough for a poststamp sized image at 30fps if you want low enough latency, good luck flying with 40x30px

Well then I suggest that you tell these guys that they can't do what they are doing.

    http://www.averusa.com/presentation/...camera_W30.asp

Years ago before Scheare and Wee built their LRRC units I had a person tell me the EXACT SAME THING about LRRC and yet 5 years later and everyone is doing it. And I have seen some very expensive systems already doing HDTV via SSFH modem to the receiver some 3 miles away but I don't know what the frequency was.

I don't really have the time to explain it all, rest assured that if a 433 or 900MHz FSK data modem as used today (~115Kbps max) had enough bandwidth available to carry a live HD quality videostream it would exist already. The fact that we need COFDM modulation and extensive compression/decompression of the video feed and a link that can sustain at least 2Mbps with a latency of at least 500ms tells me that that live FullHD videofeed with low latency you're suggesting simply won't happen overnight.
