Little sister to my Scout Bee

Not my wing, but 'Grox' from on here's.

Acutal wing is a Bee mk. 1 (Irvine sold it as an 'X-IT' here in the UK), over 10 years old! Has gone from sloper to powered wing to FPV ship! Still going strong, I think it's pretty cool a lump of EPP has gone through so much - she got soul!

    2 x 3S 2200 in parallel

    2700kV brushless - it's fairly fast - 80mph plus on the level

    IRC VTx

    WDR600

Skew planar wheel - did have a cloverleaf but I crashed it and broke it off

Bog standard Futaba 3001s that haven't missed a beat for the last decade.

    UHF

Tiny OSD in the next couple of weeks.

Still cant' believe she's still alive! I think the nose is now mostly hot glue

Just starting to stretch her legs on the fpv front thanks to a homemade helical and a new dragon link, the tiny should help as well

Can't wait to get home and flying again!
Care to join me in a belt of scotch?

Bit of raw footage from this beastie taken a week or two ago - I don't have any GoPro footage from the SB to post yet, but I can guarantee it is a good bit more stable than even this -

    View this video on YouTube

FPV starts about 45 secs in and ends as I crash land a couple of fields away due to running out of battery - hence the OSD on the way

Sorry for the 8 min vid - can't stand long vids myself, but I CBA editing it just now and thought it gives a good impression of how it flies.

E-flite Six Series 2700kV brushless, 48" and f*ck only knows.

Quite far forward though with the Hero2 - will measure it later.

That's about its 4th colour scheme.

It's the stiffest wing I've ever seen. 2 flat carbon strips running along the top and bottom of each wing.

You can pick this thing up by the wingtip fully loaded and it doesn't flex one bit.

Weight is a tiny wee bit over 3lbs and the CG is at 8 1/4 inches.

Slightly nose heavy, but it tracks like an arrow at high speed. It also lands at some rate of knots, but that's a price I'm more than willing to pay for good tracking.
