I'm so happy that it flies so well in decent winds, with all the default settings Some tweeking needs to be done to fit my flying style, but what a starting point!!!

So im new to simonk firmware. I just bought 4 dys escs from quadroufo.
    Let me say, WOOOOW!"

    big difference.
Is there anything i should know though? Do i have to change the timing mode on them? or can i program them with my turnigy card?

Is it just me, or coming from the turnigy escs i notice that it doesn't have the power it use too?

    Any advice on these?

So far the TBS discovery is awesome in every way ;P

Ditch the Aluminum Case on your video TX & replace it with a heatsink.

    cheers,

You can no longer use the programming card or change any settings... SimonK already selected all the settings useful for a multirotor

I am, I have it setup on my F450 and so far no problems. The VTX is at the back of the frame with a cloverleaf antenna and the GPS is at the front corner of the top plate on a mast that puts it higher than the video antenna. The mast I'm using is the one that comes with the Wookong-M and is about twice the height of what comes with the Naza GPS. As soon as the box of goodies arrives the F450 is going to become a TBS discovery so I should be able to get a little more distance between the two but as it sits right now I haven't had any problems with GPS lock.

The VTX is the RMRC 800mw version, it will be interesting to see if the Naza GPS works as well on my QAV500 once I install the 1500mw VTX on it...

If they have the latest version of the SimonK firmware you should do a throttle calibration, that's about the only thing you can set on them without going in and tweaking the code. I have several sets of reflashed ESCs in use on various quads and hex and it does make a very noticeable difference, especially with DJI flight controllers.
