TBS CORE - The all-in-one FPV solution from the sheep that fly

    More info: http://team-blacksheep.com/products/product:14

The TBS CORE is a progression of the revolutionary TBS Power Supply Unit. We have listened to customer’s requests and made the TBS CORE compatible with 5V & 12V cameras and 5V & 12V video transmitters up to 1W emitted power. The TBS CORE supports all battery sizes between 2 and 10 cells. We have also built in an optional OSD.

Installation is quick and easy: solder the PSU between your camera and video transmitter using the supplied cable, the PSU will provide a constant voltage along the full life of your batteries for both camera and transmitter. The redundant input power makes sure you have video signal even if your main battery is completely flat, so you can always locate and recover your plane.

    Main product features
    • 2x 2S - 10S input
    • Constant 5V @ max. 2A, 12V @ max. 650mA (individually, not in combination!)
    • Video transmitters up to 1W emitted power are supported together with any camera
    • 34x25mm, 6.6g
    • Switching power with >85% efficiency
    • OSD with optional current sensor, RSSI and input battery voltage display
    • 1m shielded cable included
    • 1x Video, 2x Audio pass-through
    • Suggested setup is 1x main battery and 1x 2S 300mAh backup (will provide video for about 30min)
    • Output power limitation protects your equipment in case of reverse polarity
    • Extremely low ripple and low RF noise

Installation on the plane is suggested to be somewhere between the transmitter and the OSD or camera, while keeping distance to the R/C receiver. Protect the PSU using shrink-wrap to prevent short-circuits or other damage to your equipment. This item is also protects your camera against current-surges when connecting the batteries. Since this is a switching regulator it does not need to be ventilated or exposed and can be buried in your plane for maximum durability.

    That's freaking legit!
So much want. Too bad I won't be able to afford one for a long while...

    What about GPS?
Great looking all in one package, pretty cheap too for the non-electronicaly inclined among us.

That's awesome, all it's missing is gps pins, and firmware upgrade pins.

Top notch and I know I've used it! Must have for any serious (or not) FPV flyer.

thanks guys. it has been our biggest project so far! we're very proud how it came out. this is perfect for small planes with the OSD and current sensor ... very basic wiring. for the big planes (TBS Z, ZII, etc) you put that in and use your own OSD such as the EzOSD.

GPS: it's not in there for a reason. we want to provide this to beginners as affordable as possible and as simple and as small as possible.
FW upgrade: the OSD is so simple, there will very likely not be a fw-upgrade

anyways, looking forward to your feedback. we shipped quite a few this week. all pre-orders until last sunday got a free current sensor!

Is there a diagram anywhere (not schematic) of how all your products interface? My brain is getting full and my Ignorance Quotient is rising. (The upside is my TBS order is growing. It' s gonna be a great anniversary gift. Somehow. Just working out how to wrap it.)

You did a fantastic job hitting that price point with those features.

hmm, from my reading of the description it seems that if you already ahve something as complete as the ezOSD or TBS OSD this is not necessary. This is basically a entry-level OSD/current sensor no?
