Wild Thumper gets a new turret

This is the new 360 degree continuous rotation camera turret for my WT. Second half is FPV. Second half of second half is more interesting.

Data link is a pair of Wixels. I call it a "virtual slip ring".

Nice one Colin! Did you write your own code for it?

So! When are you gonna make a virtual 360 degree pan/tilt/roll?? If ya do, don't forget to add image stabilisation!

Thanks Rootz. I've been watching your pan/tilt thread with great interest.

I did write my own code for the Wixels. They make it pretty painless. There's a bunch of libraries including a nice UART lib and an I2C lib. Also a servo control lib, which saved me having to add a servo control board to the turret.

There's also several working sample apps, including a wireless tilt mouse app...
