Another noob asking question already answer many times, I know ImersionRC guy and other must be tired answering this kind of question... but, it will be faster than reading or searching the entire forum for me...
I have many ImmersionRC gear, still, did not get the time to play with it that much til now, so, yesterday, I wanted to do a range test with this tri.
So, I put every thing on it, EzUHF RX lite, 5.8Ghz 600Mw vTx linked to fatshark dominator receiver, EzOSD to see the distance and the RSSI from the receiver.
I use those antennas on videon Rx/Tx
this one on the rx EzUHF lite
and this one on the EzUHF vTx.
the receiver is on top of the tri, and the vtx not that well placed on one arm.
So, did a LOS test first to see how the craft was flying, and damn it, the vTx antenna was not tight enough and fall... so, landed and make it more strong... so, it have work for about 1 minute without antennas. I know! Is that long enough to broke it?
But, my main problem is not that. Then, I put the goggle and fly away, never get that high because still scare of the reliability of the craft. so, I stay at about 25m over a corn field, so I was still at LOS.
At, about 350m, the RSSI was already at 77 and get an alarm in the OSD, I was expecting way more, so, there is something I don't do right! Also, I was seeing some interference in the video, those we see when we reach the edge of the vtx, I'm use to fpv and know the differences, but, for this one, the antenna fall may have broke it!
Still, my worry is on the EzUHF range? any idea? bad Antenna? I'm waiting some part to do some sander style antennas. Is is possible that the Tx is broken? Will order a new one ASAP if this is the case!
I use the Tx with a futaba 7c, and it still transmitting 2.4Ghz, is that can be a problem?
Thanks in advance!
