    The Zephyr Launcher build DIY

    OK here is the build.

    Parts List:
    7 - 2'/1/2" PVC pipes
    4 – ½” elbows – slip in, not threaded.
4 – Y connectors, if you can find all slip in with nothreads great.
    4 - 2.75" Dubro tires/wheels - Use larger for grass and/or dirt fields.
    1 - 5/32 piano wire
1 box of 5/32 wheel collars

    Instructions:
Cut 2' pieces of PVC as follows:
Cut FOUR pieces 4.75" long - Vertical tower - total of 4 4.75" pieces
Cut 4 at 15.5" - This is the resting bar the Zephyr will sit on.
Leave two (2) pieces intact, these are the axle pieces (Horizontal lower strut, whatever).
Assemble screw in mate to Y connectors

    Scott,

Today I have no use for this but I will be the first to say, "Thanks" for the build, and parts list. I'm sure someone could use this and hell, I might need this one day in the future. I may grow old, but I refuse to grow up!

Have you tried this in the field yet? I wanna see a video! (Both onboard and external if you can.) I'm interested to see how this works. I built a bungee launcher, but your cart takes less time to set up if you have a smooth surface.

Reminds me of the U-2's "pogo" wheels that fall off as the wing starts to flex from lift.

ya know after AirTruk hand launched the zeph it went straight up with no effort from Scott, just a light toss and vroom it was gone.

I fear now that the Zephyr may be too powerful unless I put stops in front to keep it from sliding off - even THEN I want to say you'd have to coax it up to speed then hammer it.

it'll be a week or so before I can test here but I will

Same here. Would definitely save some digits from a flubbed toss.
