Why TBS UNIFY PRO 5.8 GHZ HV - RACE - SMA Can go over 200mw ?

Hi, (sry for my english this is not my language)

I just buy a TBS UNIFY PRO 5.8 GHZ HV - RACE - SMA and when i first use it , i was firstly surprise than i can go on raceband without unlock it and go to 200mw too.
But anyway i told my self that there is no lock mode anymore

Then i try go to 500mw and save. ok it go. but when i unplug battery and plug again it stay at 500mw. same thing in 800mw (i set this on betaflight OSD).

My friend who as the same go back to 200mw if he unplug and plug again it go back to 200mw.

I go back to 200mw to fly to not burn it but i question myself if i can go on 800mw and if anyone have this same thing.

    Thanks in advance

The TBS UNIFY PRO 5G8 HV - RACE is only capable of 200mw according to the specs on the webpage - http://team-blacksheep.com/products/...fy_pro_hv_race
Look at the back of the VTX and it will tell you which model you have.
What does it do if you try to set the power with the button on top of the VTX?
