Any hack possible, to squeeze more juice out of 18650 pack?

Is something possible to do with the goggles (mine are HD2), to use a 18650 pack, to it's designed capacity?
I'm aware, that step up module, can possibly be used, but, I'd rather replaced a resistor, of some sort, in the goggles itself.

One way is to buy better quality cells imho. Most of the cheap ones you buy on eBay are approx 1/3rd their stated capacity imho.

    I'm perfectly aware of that.
The question here is about the Fatshark's in-built battery protection, it will start beeping, while the 18650 has, probably, around 45% capacity remaining, and will switch off, shortly after.

Ya, I'm aware of a few mods (just google for these) you can do but for me it's easier/safer to just pack around a couple of extra cells. You should be able to get ~3 hours to begin with if you use good quality cells so most would not need more. Hacking your goggles to get another ~30 minutes seems a little silly to me.

Another idea would be to run a 3s 18650 pack but the faceplate fan might complain.

Actually, just had an idea, to use a 3s pack, for powering the goggles, and a tiny step down module, to power the fan.

Ya, or just take voltage off 2 of the cells for the fan. Because of the low current draw of the fan it should not screw up the cell balance significantly imho.
