This is how I wired mine up, RX, VTX - no issues:
    I used Sp1K3's and Trappy's methology..

Update : Still cutting out the battery bay and the GoPro wooden mount - Using birch 1/8" ply and its a tough job. Hopefully will complete in a day.
    Pics coming ...

Question; I need to finalise the location where i will mount the 2 antennas - Vtx VEE and the TSLRS ( this one is also like a V )

I was thinking of the winglets. Is that a good place ?

Question : Need to decide how many torroids to use and how many LC filters.

    a. Do i need one LC filter for both the camera and VTX ? Or should just before both the Vtx and Cam do ( i will be using common battery for flight power and all electronics )

    b. DO i need to use torroids on servo lines, video or camera, anywhere ?

Would like to have a real clean setup and hate to know i missed something afer the lam.

    Thanks !

Ok update - Been doing lots of work here .

Yesterday was perhaps one my the most frustrating days ever. I did a ground check of everything and it was great. Got 50 steps with the TSLRS in low power mode with the antenna off. Checked everything and then buried the Rx in foam and smoothened it out with putty.
The only thing i didnt test was RSSI , as i assumed it would work fine ona brand new v6 Thomas setup.

But i was proven WRONG ! RSSI was the only thing i hadnt tested, and thats what didnt work - I posted in the RCG thread, and wrote to TSLRS support, only to find, that the first batch of Rxs had an IC missing !!!!

Well, i never expected that from TSLRS. In the end , in this process, i cut out all the foam again took out the Rx, as i wanted to check for connections etc.

this was just so frustrating !! . Now sitting in India, either I ship this out to Denmark and wait for replacement, which would be weeks, or forget the RSSI.

If you're wanting to do 5 miles, I would wait for the RSSI.
