I run it with no airflow and it handles both hot weather as well as cold weather at 14,000ft. Just an idea...

Have you used it with the 2300kv Cobra? It would be freakin annoying to replace the wrong esc with another wrong esc.

You're right Havard, I only use this ESC at about 16,000 rmp. I think for high rpm these are the best you can get. Although they are definitely different price ranges they both have BLheli so they should perform similarly.

A word on the Cobra wings... Annoyingly, the brake is only enabled on some of them (wings need brake). To change settings you need a USB dongle. Even with the dongle you will have to flash to another firmware that's made for another brand of esc. Quite ****ed up really. Perhaps this will be rectified in the future, but for now this is how it is.

I would rather take my chances on the Emax.

There's lots of good esc's out there. I use a turnigy trust with the 2300 and it works great. I know not all of them can fire / sync quick enough, but the trust can.

Here's a remaiden of the HC44. It might as well have been a maiden as it was like a brand new plane. Nothing special in the video - just getting comfortable with it, but there are 3 really close near misses with Chad's (Mactek) 44, which was fun.
