Question choosing the first budget FPV setup.. help

    Hi,
I don't know much about FPV setup but I was wondering if I can have some help buying a FPV setup . I ran through every FPV product in HobbyKing and don't know what to choose due to negative and positive comments in products. I was thinking of 5.8GHz 200mwW Tx and Rx with a polarised antena. I'm also thinking about using my Ipad as the screen (may be a adaptor to connect the ipad and the receiver?) else I will need to buy a screen for it. As for my budget, somewhere around 50 would be great.

What I've considered so far -

+ power will be taken from a 3s or seperately....

    Please help me.

Not sure about the USB dongle but the AIO camera/tx and the rx should work fine for short range FPV flights. I would not recommend the iPad for your viewing screen although it has been done before. Check out the Quanum cyclops goggles on HK or look through the clasifieds here.

It depends what your are putting it on. I wouldn't put a Eachine tx03 on a Bixler for instance but I have a Tx03 and think it is a very good cam/vtx for sub 400 meter FPV flight (mine is attached to a qx 95).

That little blue and white Aomway 200mw vtxs works pretty good and will carry you a good 4000 meters or so. I like them because you can feed it anything from 2s to 6s lipo and it outputs 5v to your camera. This makes it easy to manage your voltages. Those Aomway 4-lobe antennas work pretty good but the "Aomway patch" is complete garbage.

I like Quanum V2 pro edition that often goes on sale at Hobbyking for $30 better than my $300 pair of Fatshark dominators but you do end up with a gigantic cube strapped to your face.

Haha yes the Quanum goggles aren't the most ergonomic choice by any means but they certainly get the job done at a GREAT price.
