Hey Havard, thanks for the answer, but I actually meant to say the trailing edge of the elevons. Here is a picture to make it more clear. It seems like Chris is tapering less of these parts on the Hardcores. Is there a reason for this?

Dont know the reason. I cut mine roughly the same as Gobigdale on the first page of this thread. I would try to do it as in the picture you posted above.

Even though this is a Hardcore 48 build, the content will be just as useful for building the HC44.

What do you think of the 48. I reached out to Chris today about purchasing one. Can you tell me the differences vs the 44.

definitely kick out some details on that 48! I am curious if the same set up can swap between two 3300 4s and just one or if you have to build to one or the other from the start.

The HC48 is only slightly bigger, but takes 2x3300 4s instead of the 1x3300 of the HC44. For me this is very practical, because I can stock up on 3300 batteries and use them on both planes. I absolutely love the Gens Ace 4s 3300 25c. Best of all, I can by them at my local hobby store.
Chris says that the higher wing loading of the 48 makes it track better in winds. The range also increases a lot. I have fitted mine with a Vector as this will be my goto longish range bird.

You need to build this plane to fit specific batteries from the start. Only one 3300 wont wont work. With the motor Chris recommends (2820/8 1450KV) it balances beautifully with only the Runcam Swift in the nose and the two 3300s.

That's awesome Havard. I love having a nice fleet. Right now I have practically nothing airworthy. Too many damn responsibilities...
