Excellent, thank you very much guys, it appears I will be surprising her with a Skywalker. That is if they are ever in stock anywhere.
Thanks,

What you want IMO is crash resistance, the albatross can't be beat in that respect.

Do you really think crash resistance should be a higher priority then an easy to fly model? I would think the model that is easiest to keep in the air would be the most cost effective choice. Then again I come from heli's where there is basically no crash resistance, thus the idea thst easy to fly is better. Please correct me if you think I am looking st this backwards.
As mentioned before get a quality simulator... ready to go as soon as you install it and it has this nice feature, reset! This will teach the basics of orientation. If she gets good enough to take off and land in the simulator there will be no issue starting out with a skywalker. things to keep in mind for the first plane
1. Slow
2. Large enough to see
3. Self stabilizing by design
Since you want to make this an FPV ship the skywalker meets all three above as well as makes a pretty good FPV platform.
On a side note, most simulators allow you to fly from the nose of the plane, so you can "practice" FPV as well.
I have a simulator but it's name escapes me right now. She has spent about 10 hrs total flying random planes on it (using a dx8 transmitter) and I will continue to have her use it till e plane gets here.
So far the skywalker seems to be the best choice and the sim has a similar plane she can learn with. Unless people ( who clearly know more about planes then me) think it would be better to buy her a plane that takes a hit better but may be harder to fly.
Yes, especially if she has been practicing on a simulator, crashes are more likely to come from stupid mistakes, like a bad launch, or misjudged landing. If she can just pick up the plane and fly again she will learn faster and have more fun. If you have to superglue it back together, or replace electronics then it will be a slower and more frustrating process. I learned to fly with a scratch built dollar tree foamboard Cub, and every time I crashed it needed repairs, not ideal.

No problem at all.. I actually had 4 links not 3. Check your PM's![]()
