    Greetings from Metro Detroit

Hello everyone! I was referred to this forum from another forum as a FPV knowledge base. So great to see a website dedicated to such an awesome hobby.

About 6 months ago, I started to get into RC. So far, I have only flown FP/CP heli's(up to blade 450 X). After fiddling around with my heli's and countless hours on youtube, I stumbled upon the world of FPV. Exciting!

I am currently planning out my first FPV flyer. I have decided to go fixed wing and am heavily leaning towards a Bixler. I am hoping to get the hang of non-fpv fixed wing flight down pretty quick so I can start strapping some gear to it!

Welcome from a fellow detroit area pilot. =]
Far better is it to dare mighty things, even though checkered by failure; than to take rank with those who neither enjoy much or suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

Where about are you? I am at the border of walled lake/novi. Hoping to get some awesome FPV done over Walled Lake once I get the proper gear and feel comfortable enough

Nice! I may be consulting you in the future :P. I am not quite sure what the rules and regulations are for the area. I have only flown my 450 heli in my backyard.

Watch for seaplanes and dont bother trying 900mhz as a video frequency. Too much noise on that band. Ask me how i know heh.

Also, i would ask, and i'll do the same, is that you power up your video rx first just to make sure the channel isnt already occupied. I'd hate to be flying and suddenly see your camera's view. =]
