Ughhh Did a 1.5 mile night flight with my quad a month or two back. I hate my DVR.... I'll have to do it again when I get my quad up and running again. After successfully flying 1.5 miles out at night and back I crashed into a tree three feet away from myself. Lol.

Now that I think of it Im going to pick up a new DVR right now. Sucks when something cool gets dropped.

the noise floor is pretty bad near highways. i flew near a power station, weather radar station AND heli pad within the same .5km space(all that is next to the interstate). couldn't get more than 300m without static. that's 1280mhz 800mw

That's why I like to push my personal records, and the farther I get or higher in altitude I get the better and different the view gets :P. Also I am starting to try to use thermals to extend my longest time in air. Everytime I fly FPV I am more thinking about what I can learn / do better then the last, very rare do I just go out and fly around the field :P. Plus soon I have both a DVR and HD cam for plane coming so I am going to really work on making some good videos.

i started out with high altitude stuff(1-2km) because you have more time to think. now i mostly just fly the quad around the block. doesn't make for interesting videos but it's very fun to just walk out to the sidewalk and fly 3 batteries

i do miss flying high now that i think about it. i think i'll get my swift back up and running.

That sucks, but good flight distance. I trying for a mile this weekend on 4s 2200mah.
