    Quad ESC question

I have these ESC's on my quad
    http://www.rctimer.com/index.php?gOo...6&productname=

One broke(wire broke from pcb). . . . hotrod suggested this ESC.

If I use 3 rctimer esc's and one of these proton ESC's. . . Will it work or cause problems?? I think they are both hobbywing ESC's but don't know about programming etc. I'm just tryin to get my quad going for a project next weekend. Thanks

People have reported using two different ESCs (likely same OEM) and it works fine

like milehigh said it might work, but I've had problems with using 3 of the same ESC's even. My theory was that very small differences in them (resistance?) would cause problems when punching the throttle, the tricopter would roll to one side very sharply.

I'm running a tricopter with 2 30A RCTimers and a 25A ExceedRC Proton on the tail...Not a problem, even on punch outs that I've seen. As long as they are calibrated, should be fine.

The control board should be able to handle discrepancies in the throttle curves of each ESC. After all, that's how it controls the thing in the first place - varying throttle positions and analyzing gyroscopic feedback. If one esc requires 20% throttle to give the same amount of thrust as another ESC that requires 22%, the control board will act accordingly and balance it out.
Far better is it to dare mighty things, even though checkered by failure; than to take rank with those who neither enjoy much or suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.
