Cool Is it scale? Share your scale FPV driving videos.

Looks good, drives good, go real! GO scale!

If it has a dashboard, movable steering, driver's arm and passenger the you're scalin, post and share your realistic driving video here. Let's bring ground FPV driving to the next level. I'm sharing few of my FPV rides.

Well, I'm not fully scalin', but im partially scalin'. Or is that an oxy-moron?

    Hits the water @ 0:15, mud @1:40 and hill climb @ 3:15.

Lots of dust and climbing pea gravel piles.

Upgraded camera mount a little. If you get a chance to burn a motocross track at WOT, do it. Lots of fun...
    Good stuff starts at 2:00

I've converted my Huanqi 739 buggy to FPV capable cockpit style driving that took me 5 hours of conversion works replacing all the stock electronics except the motor stay in. Upgraded with Hobby Wing 60A waterproofed brushed ESC, High torque Tower Pro digital servo, 4CH Radio link and RC4G radio unit. FPV hardware fitted with nano size 600TVL CMOS camera, 5.8ghz 600mw mini video transmitter, Hobby King Simple OSD and E-MAX micro digital servo for camera/helmet pan capable hooked to CH3 on receiver. Overall its easy to install on 739 due to its wide open layout compare to my other build. 5 hours later i had a perfect FPV buggy that doesn't look like FPV at all keeping it scale and normal without looking suspicious.

Btw here's the gallery links of my build: http://www.supermotoxl.com/resources...9-desert-buggy

    Hey Ican3d,
I am thinking of getting a ground-pounder; I have read a lot of your reviews on your supermotoxl website, you list the pros and cons on all your vehicles you review but you never weigh in on one vs another.

Of the ground vehicles you have tried do you have any that stick out as performing a notch above the others?

Thanks for further reading my blog
I can't fairly compare each other of my existing FPV modded ground pounder since all of them comes in various scale size and differences in drive transmission. But if i were to choose among all my existing ground FPV as my favorite everyday FPV adventure the FY-03 Eagle 3 4WD truck (aka mini Twin Hammer) (http://www.supermotoxl.com/designs-a...ff-road-truck-)
Because FY03 seems to be the best FPV truck in term of crawling, speed, price, spare parts, portable size, huge ground clearance, climbing power, variable battery choice and stability. Plus handsomely good looking truck too on the table. Despite 1/12 size it performed like 1/10 scale on any terrains, it makes my 1/10 scale K949 (Twin Hammer clone) felt like a looser.

But if you have the cash TRAXXAS SUMMIT is your FPV gem, but i can't spent that kind of money yet.

I am specifically interested in gimbaled ground pounders after watching a few videos of what they can do. I'm coming from airplanes and don't have a feel for what all-up weight does for ground vehicles. Would 200 grams of camera and gimbal on the top of a FY03 be viable?

I saw this guy's video and it's gotten me inspired.

If you're looking forward to installed gimballed camera then you'll need to find at least 1/8 scale or Traxxas Summit size because of the gimbal size, weight and fittings. My 1/12 scale FY03
would probably topple over due to top weight CG.
