    Tricopter V2

A buddy of mine from the forums bought the parts to build a Tricopter v2 from the RCexplorer.se site: http://www.rcexplorer.se/projects/TriV2/TriV2.html

He had no idea what he was doing so he asked if I could build it for him.

    RC Gear is:
    3 - Turnigy Plush 18a ESCs
    3 - 2213N 800Kv Brushless Motors
1 - Blue Bird BMS-376 Metal gear servo
    3 - 10x4.7 props
    Spektrum AR6110 RX

    The frame came from ebay
    KK Flight Controler

There is tons to be done though, the only thing assembled is the frame. The ESCs and motor are just stuck on temporarily for looks, I need to solder on the connectors still. Lots to learn about the KK board in the process though.

Thats a really nice tricopter frame. I saw another guy with the same frame who placed the escs on the body and pulled the wires through the arms. It looked really clean but may require slightly more wire. Good luck with your build

Arch I thought it wasn't good to extend the motor to battery or motor to ESC wires. However some extending does need to be done to make everything reach and I have always heard that if you need to extend one it should be the motor to ESC and not motor to battery so I will definitely be doing that.

There will be a bit more resistance in longer wires but I'm not sure whether the difference is negligible or not. I use 18 AWG wires but I think 20 AWG is usually more optimal when considering weight and resistance in small multicopters. The thicker the wires, the less resistance you get, but the added weight decreases the flying time more than what you save in reduced resistance.

Some people put their escs under the prop to get extra cooling but the ones I use don't get that warm. I also use the Turnigy Plush 18A. I'm not sure where it's best to place the added length or if it matters that much.

Well I am officially stuck. I have no idea which ESC wire to plug into which slot on the KK board and have no idea what order to connect the servo wires coming from the KK board into my receiver.

The guy who built your kk-board has a pretty good guide on his website:

    http://www.rcexplorer.se/page14/kkgu...guide/tri.html

I think it will answer most of your questions.

    That link helped a lot.

Well she looks pretty sweet but I think there is something wrong with the KK board. I followed the very simple wiring diagram on the website exactly and I can not get the board to arm. I have done everything that the troubleshooting section told me to do if you encounter this problem and it still didn't help.
