Thread: 360 degree video needed!

    360 degree video needed!

    Hey folks,

I'm an engineer at Kogeto (www.kogeto.com). We make a panoramic lens and app for iPhone that basically lets you do Google Street View with your phone... except it's VIDEO.

I've FPV'd my Floater Jet but it's burly enough to lift an iPhone 4 or 4s upside down on the bottom side. I really want to see some pano footage from up high.

My offer: anyone who has an iPhone who wants a Dot (that's what we call the lens) and is willing to strap the thing on their plane/heli/quad/truck/whatever... well I'll send you a free one.

Within reason, of course. Lets say the first 5 people.

The catch: you've got to upload the video (easy) and share it with all your friends.

    Here are some examples:

    Skateboarding http://www.kogeto.com/dotspots/3HRHSO232OYA

Hey that's pretty cool, if you want to send one to New Zealand i'd give it a go on my tricopter.

Ha! I was part of the kickstarter for the DOT. I hope to get flying soon and will use the dot then! It is all I have been thinking about since I had it - pano flight.

Cool that you are here. When I saw the update that allowed flipping the video I knew it was perfect. This weekend I hope to maiden my plane, and get some quad flights - I'll try to strap it to one of them.

I'll try it out if you're interested! Seems cool. I've got a great plane to try it on.

Here's my most recent video if you're looking for proof I can put it in the air.

Although, to start I would use it on my Tonka Summit! Much safer but equally cool:

I'm in. Will be happy to fly my iPhone with the Dot. I've been thinking about buying one for just this purpose anyway. My 72" wing will handle it without any issue.

    Thanks

I will definitely stick one of these on the bottom of my quad and on the bottom of my Twin Star 2 airplane. Count me in as a tester!

Wow everybody, freaking AWESOME response. I think we are up to 4 now, still waiting on the last one...

@schnellschnell, thanks for the KS support buddy! We were a pretty big success on there at the time and it's because of people like you that I can come on here and do this. BIG hugs to you. Happy to send you out another one if you want it for "destructive testing"

@CaliDave, saw your build thread on that Tonka... LOVE it! Those are both great videos and I can't wait to see what you come up with. We've got it so you can edit now before you upload but it can be a bit clunky. I'll walk you through it.
