How many miles can you get a gallon on that thing and when can you get here! The earth is trying to take back her land from me! I was actually out there one day and my allergies got so bad I got some thing called "chemosis" where fluid gets under the white part of your eye... pretty gross to say the least. Anyway I leveled out much of the path on one side but that's where the grass is actually growing now. Do I need to put down salt or something? This place used to be a salt flat but clearly not enough cause the plants are poppin' out here. :-O

My mower has two 5 gallon tanks and it will run about 8-9 hours straight....When it's dry I have to wear a respirator.... if it's windy add a set of goggles.
Around here, if you till up the ground the grass will pop up even worse. I buy round-up in the fall when they discount it at Tractor supply. They have a 2.5 gallon jug.Then I use a 2 gallon pump up sprayer. I have to touch it up with more round up about every 6 weeks. It works best when it's hot and dry.

If I want to leave the grass and just kill the weeds I use Grazon. Grazon will also kill small trees! Yes!

+1 on the tiller. Years ago, some friends and I used one to build a track in an old field for our RC 10's. Worked great.

Adrenalinrush, you are correct, your herbicide is made from 2,4D, which was one of the components of Agent Orange.

They dump clay pellets soaked in 2,4D (I think it's called Sculpin-G) in our lake every year to kill off the seaweed. According to the documents they nail to every fence post and light pole in town, it's completely safe. (It must be, it doesn't do jack to the seaweed)

"Hey want to go fishing?"
"Sure, they just dumped 20,000 lbs of Agent Orange in the lake this morning"
"Umm.. maybe next week?"
