    FPVManuals LayerLens and GoPro Mount

This first joint-venture with FPVManuals resulted in a small revolution in the GoPro enclosures market. Fully protected by tabs against the harder impacts, the LayerLens additionally protects your lens against the small and subtle impacts that eventually end up scratching your lens. The velcro serves to firmly secure the LayerLens and the GoPro in place. The FPV box is made for standard-size (32mmx32mm) CCTV cameras.

    Kit includes:
    • Plywood GoPro Camera & FPV mount
    • Spare front plate
    • Velcro strap

The LayerLens is a patent-pending innovation from FPVManuals. All you need is a lens from one of the GoPro cases or a GoPro lens replacement pack, available from all major GoPro retailers, Ebay or Amazon.

Sweet! Designing this product with Raphael was super fun and I think (obviously) that it came out really well. Coming up with a good solution that provides you a LayerLens while at the same time providing a mechanism that allows you to take the GoPro out of the case, see the GoPro's display, secure everything with one strap, and so on took a bunch of iterations. Maybe I'll post some of the designs we went through to finally have the eureka moment of running the velcro strap behind the lens -- it's obvious now, but when you're starting off, it's not so...

    Here is my favorite picture:

that's what I love about this work. No product is complete without at least one "eureka" moment. Sometimes a few more Hope we can build a couple more things in future!

So is that clear front plate part of the Layer lens kit for this mount?
On GETFPV it says 'Spare plywood front plate'

Would be nice to see the individual parts before assembly.

    Very nice work!

Yes, anything 'non wood' is part of the LayerLens.

Badlands, the GoPro Mount wood parts come with plenty of spare. We're constantly updating parts based on customer feedback. Since it's wood it's easy to replace. When you use the LayerLens, obviously you have a spare wood front plate that you can use on another plane. We also include a "full frontal plate" that is in one part that you could use.
