I fly with counter-rotating props. Apparently, it's not necessary, but I do anyway.

Thanx for summary Kev; I guess I will just buy whichever is not sold out !! actually I only fly full FPV w/max gadgets so might as well go for the one with the big 'real estate'; certainly with CC board as all you folks seem to favor it; a noob to Tricycles i might as well follow y'all'z lead...great thread, I have read it three times already...thanx for sharing.

Well, I'm assembling mine now. The frame plate is bigger than most every tricopter plate I've seen. Still, this thing is tiny compared to my original "Signguy" tricopter. Anyone with a CC board want to offer up their PID settings as a starting point?

I can give you mine but it may not be good depending on your arm size. How big are you making her?

By the way I also use a counter rotating prop. I have not used one in the past and it was fine but like Kevin I just use one anyways.

The front arms are 7.25" from pivot to the center of the motor plate. The rear plate is 5.5". This is a version 1.2 kit so the frame was elongated a little.

Yeah my new bird is way bigger then yours so my settings will be different. I can still post them if you would like.

Rain finally died so I took her out to chase cats and have fun.

Hehe I love this camera so much. Today I decided to try to catch the miami sunset and I flew from the back alley behind my house. I flew for like 8 minutes and when I landed I took off my goggles like WTF ITS DARK OUTSIDE... Stick my goggles back on and through the cam it still looks like light as hell.

Its a sweet Tri Danub you will definitely like it.

WOOT! Finally got my hands on v 1.3. Here is the complete maiden flight. Yeah yeah yeah, I almost hit a tree. I see it as less of a almost hit tree and more of a hot damn I avoided that tree...

Still tuning to be done as I just used the settings from my old bird when this one is a few inches smaller.

    hey guys..

here is version .. 1.3GP(version2) haha.. I know you have not even seen version 1 for GP but ..

well the design put to much stress on the servo.. so I re worked it.. bigger servo and its as close as possible to camera plate.
I put it out further on the nose.. idea is with 1 180deg servo you can look down ..as you fly.. ha ha.. as if thing where complicated enough when you are behind the sticks.. ha ha..

anyway I made a small batch of these.. they are 90% done..

the GoPro tilt axis is pending.. will ship out to one completed tomorrow for testing.. so hopefully soon we will have some results.. speak peak.. some pics..
