    "mastered" FPV quad building.

finally i can just go out front, plug it in and hit record. all the nonsense worked out. no more vibration, no more anything

there is some jello in the video because i forgot to hot glue the camera mount. it's just held on by 1 screw right now

    vc-450 kk quad

2.4ghz frsky(dragonlink should be out for delivery TODAY)
    800mW(lol) 1.3ghz vtx + 1.3 low pass filter

stock whip on vtx, cloverleaf on ground station(yes really)

i'll take a 3dB loss in any direction over a 9dB loss during a critical turn. i have tried a vee + stock whip and it does cut out right when you need the video most!

oh and this is a $30 shipped JVC picsio, records 720 res @ 60FPS
plus a $16 iphone fisheye lens

That fisheye makes me really nauseous... I take it the camera is on a stabilized pan/tilt mount? It's weird seeing the quad moving around like that. Other than that, cool beans.

Are you only getting 4 minutes 25 second flights?? I get 18 minutes with a 3s 2200mah 25c with this tri...

i charged my batteries back up and all of them were within 20mAh of eachother. I put back in 1410-1420mAh for a 4:30 flight. 6:06 should bring me to 1900mAh but i'll see if i can make it to 5:30 first.

The amp draw really surprised me though. 5A per motor? 10 amps = 120 watts... i should have gotten the thin CDROM brushless motors from hobbyking or RCTimer. with 12" props there is probably a lot more battery life.

looks good, but try to avoid using AE's warp stabilization to correct fish eye footage, the results only work best with flat lenses.
