Very nice setups gents! I guess I'll hang on to my Mqx and follow suit.

I just bought a MQX so that I could do exactly this. I wanted a smaller frame than my Gaui 500X or VC-450 in order to do some FPV around the house, both indoor and outdoor. And guess what? I'm not the only one with the same idea. You guys are doing great. I took a different approach to the video though. I bought a wireless 5.8GHz "spycam" thinking I'd just mount in on top of the MQX and fly around. I'll have to check if the 5.8GHz is compatible with the 5.8GHz module in my FatShark Dominators. If not, I'll just run the video out from the spycam's included wireless Rx into my ground station and use the hardwired method. I really want a small platform that is just the craft, camera and goggles. I don't want to lug around a backpack to fly this thing. It looks as if the 5.8GHz cam and Tx weigh a lot less than what I'm going to try, so I may end up switching to what you guys are using. We'll see how it turns out.

    Hi!
I've been searching for some answers regarding the Blade MQX rtf. Sorry for interrupting a wrong forum. If so, perhaps you could point me to a more suitable forum / thread.
I received my MQX yesterday, charged the battery, powered up the transmitter, connected the battery, got the blue steady led-light, and eased the throttle up. First only two propellers responded. (Black and white) Then a third (black). The fourth propeller refuses to engage. (Rear right - X-mode) I only managed to get a response from it when engaging the aileron at extreme left or right stick. Not in neutral hovermode. All the small cables from the motor to the circuitboard seems intact.

Studying the rather sparesome manual did'nt make me any wiser. Busted circuitboard? Any ideas?
Your fpv-setup looks great by the way.

    Hi Sturejo,

It isn't required that all 4 props spin while still on the floor. People out there will try to make it so that while on the floor all 4 motors spin, but its really based on what the flight controller thinks it needs. Your post makes it sound like all 4 do spin in certain cases while on the ground. That's enough to tell you that they're all plugged in. Now, what happens when you increase throttle?

Try testing it by getting it to hover for just a split second. I'm thinking 1-2 seconds 3 inches off the ground.

Does it flip over? Does it go up? Does it not go up at all? That'll tell you what you need to do next.

Wow, this is an awesome idea! I already have a MQX and a 5.8GHz system. Is there a micro transmitter I can use with this video receiver

Check the frequencies of your vrx against this vtx. http://fpvhobby.com/93-200mw-58ghz-a-v-transmitter.html

    Ch1 pin + Ch2 pin + Ch3 pin connect to ground (Channel 1 - 5.705 gHz)
    Ch2 pin + Ch3 pin connect to ground (Channel 2 - 5.685 gHz)
    Ch1 pin + Ch3 pin connect to ground (Channel 3 - 5.665 gHz)
    Ch1 pin + Ch2 pin connect to ground (Channel 5 - 5.885 gHz)
Ch3 pin connect to ground (Channel 4 - 5.645 gHz)
Ch2 pin connect to ground (Channel 6 - 5.905 gHz)
Ch1 pin connect to ground (Channel 7 - 5.925 gHz)
DEFAULT - no connect to ground (Channel 8 - 5.945 gHz)

Here's a vid of my mqx with 2.4 video and rc control

I have everything ordered from FPV Hobby. I can't wait to try this system out on my MQX. I should be receiving my ski mask mod for my headplays from Rob any day as well. I can't wait to scare the neighborhood!
