EZOSD Altitude will not zero altitude.

For quite a while now, I have been flying with my OSD's altitude totally out to lunch. It boots, locks sats, sets home position to 0m, and ALT to +/- 940m. It acurately counts up and down during flight, but my base ALT is never 0m.

I have tried manually setting home position.
I have reloaded firmware (both font and program) multiple times (v1.14), each time totally clearing settings.
I have NOT tried reverting to an older firmware, because I love the efficiency calculator. It worked before on 1.14, it should work again.

*This all started after installing sander's test font firmware. But, i've reflashed everything, fonts included. So it should be a non-issue.

    Example of the problem:

Alright, we've had a few reports of this now. Apparently something is causing the EzOSD to display ASL rather than AGL, so lets get to the bottom of this.

Can you flash the latest 1.14 fw back in taking particular note of the read1st.txt included with the zipped archive and following it to the letter? Also make sure you *uncheck* the preserve settings checkbox. This will revert the EzOSD back to factory defaults.

Let me know if that solves the issue, if not, we need to dig a little deeper.

I will try as well when home and report back.
As far as I remember "preserve settings" was checked when I flashed the firmware last time.

We might have a smoking gun. Try flashing firmware again with the 'preserve settings' unchecked and then configure the EzOSD with the buttons, *NOT* with the IRC tools, the tools might have an error for altitude setting that sets ASL and not AGL. Can any of you seeing this issue report back on whether they have used the tools rather than the buttons on the EzOSD?

There is a similar issue with the tiny telemetry and easy tracker, although it could be unrelated, if so I apologize. But when you "set home" with the tracker, it doesn't zero out gps altitude on every screen of the tracker. In fact unless you have at least 10 sats, altitude is often totally wrong, sometimes off by 100m or more. I understand it takes alot of sats for an accurate 3d fix, but 8 sats and off by 100m? Really doesn't seem right... And often times the altitude displayed on the tracker's satellite screen is quite different than what is displayed on the bearing/distance screen, with the latter seemingly more accurate. It seems as they don't get updated consistently with one another...

ps I live near sea level...

Anyway I am not sure but I think the tiny telemetry shares firmware with the ezosd but again I am not certain. I don't see any firmware specifically listed for the tiny telemetry anywhere.

sander, I have tried reflashing using the firmware download from the immersion rc website, v1.14. Followed the instructions to a T. I have done this multiple times, to no avail. I made certain preserve settings was unchecked. The VSI is back to the original state, but the altitude is still displaying funny.

I have tried both, using the tools to program the unit, and programming it all by hand using the buttons. Either or does the same.

So, I flashed v1.14 and followed strictly the procedure in the readme1st.txt and can report this works for me. Now I see AGL with 0-1m on ground. Preserve settings was unchecked during upload of font loader and firmware. Used the buttons to reconfigure everything.
I will check during next flights and report back.
